Why Our Method Matters

Built from the Olympians — Tailored for Kids

At Gold Medal Swim School, we don’t just teach kids to love the water, we teach them to swim the right way from the very beginning.

Instructors Who Swim Alongside Your Child

Our instructors get in the water and share the swim experience with your child — eyes wet, hair wet, and fully engaged.

Why This Matters

We teach more than swimming — we build a foundation for safety, confidence, and lifelong skills.

From the very first lesson, your child learns to regulate their breathing, stay calm in the water, and feel comfortable going under the surface.

We teach respect for the water, not fear. That’s how you build a safe swimmer for life!

FAQs

What is Unlimited Swim and how do I request it?

Unlimited Swim is a FREE program for all students enrolled in Baby Swim, Learn To Swim, or Adult Swim classes, allowing them to attend one extra class per day based on availability. It’s a great way to add more practice and progress faster — at no additional cost! You can request an Unlimited Swim lesson under the Members tab.

What should I expect during a swim lesson?

Each 30 minute lesson focuses on fun, safety, and skill progression. At the beginning of each lesson, the instructor will reinforce our ‘Sit, Listen, and Wait’ skill and Air Regulation through blowing bubbles, both key to water safety and strong swimming. The instructor will then go through our expertly crafted curriculum teaching in small groups with a max 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio.

How long will it take for my child to learn to swim?

Every child learns at their own pace, and that’s completely normal. Our goal is to help your child become a safe, confident, and skilled swimmer — and we support that with a tailored curriculum, expert in-water instructors, and free Unlimited Swim. We focus on what matters most: helping your child learn swimming the right way, at the right pace, for lasting success in the water.

What if we can't make a lesson?

We offer easy-to-schedule makeup lesson for Baby Swim, Learn To Swim, and Adult Swim programs. If you can’t make a lesson, you can request a Makeup Voucher in your customer portal and you’ll receive a voucher that’s good for up to a year.

What age can my child start lessons?

We start lessons as early as 3 months old and encourage everyone to start swimming as soon as possible! This helps to ensure water safety and good swimming habits from a young age.

Do I need to get in the water with my child?

A parent / guardian is required to swim with their swimmer only for our Baby Swim program. For all other programs, our trained instructors work directly with your child in the pool.

1. Unlimited Swim is based on class availability and operates on a first come, first serve basis. All requests must be made after 9pm the day before the free lesson. It is not guaranteed that all requests can and will be fulfilled.

2. Comparison based on publicly available information from local swim school websites as of June 2025. Sites include Goldfish, Aqua-Tots, SafeSplash, Big Blue, British Swim School, and Hubbard. Offerings may vary and are subject to change.

3. While our pool water is thoroughly sanitized and meets all Maricopa County regulations for cleanliness, it is not intended for drinking.
