WELCOME TO THE GOLD MEDAL SWIM CLUB
The Gold Medal Swim Club (GMSC) is a year-round, competitive swim team offering a professional, multi-leveled, and tailored swim program to meet the needs of each and every swimmer. We emphasize fundamental skills, physical conditioning, productive work habits, character growth, healthy competition, and most of all - enjoyment.
Training Groups
are organized by swimmers' age, speed, and commitment level. Swimmers are assigned groups at the coaches' discretion. GMSC swimmers compete in meets held Locally, Regionally, Nationally, and Internationally. Team information including policies and procedures, schedule, pool locations, and coaches' information can be found year-round on the Gold Medal Swim Club Team Unify website.
Gold Medal Swim Club Registration

Registration for the Gold Medal Swim Club is now a three-step process. First, you'll need to register your swimmer with USA swimming. This step is required to proceed with the form. Next, you'll create/confirm your account through the GMSC Team Unify. Lastly, you'll complete this registration form for the Gold Medal Swim Club via the Gold Medal Swim School.
STEP ONE:
REGISTER WITH USA SWIMMING
. Starting September 1st, 2022, USA Swimming is requiring all families to register/renew their USA Swimming membership online through their website. Membership fees will be collected by USA Swimming at the time of registration. If you have questions regarding how to register or renew your membership, please refer to USA Swimming's

All enrollment, billing, and cancellation is processed through the Gold Medal Swim School. All information entered below is secure and will be used to process registrations and payment through the Gold Medal Swim School's secure billing system. In order to serve our community of athletes, parents, and coaches, as well as align with the rules and guidelines of USA Swimming, we have created numerous policies. Gold Medal Swim Club Policies and Procedures
MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP FEES:
Gold Medal Swim Club families make an annual commitment (swimming year-round) to maintain their position on the team. Monthly membership fees are based on your swimmer's enrolled group and do not include tax, when applicable. Monthly membership fees are billed on the
third
of each month using the card on file with the Gold Medal Swim School. If you need to update your card on file for any reason, please contact the Gold Medal Swim School at (480) 961-SWIM (7946). For information on scholarships, please email the GMSC admin

USA SWIMMING REGISTRATION:
To obtain and maintain membership with GMSC, each swimmer must have an active membership with USA Swimming. This membership covers the swimmer with liability insurance while at practice, organized events, and swim meets.
ANNUAL REGISTRATION FEE:
The GMSC annual registration fee is automatically charged yearly on August 3rd (September 3rd for the 2022-2023 season) for continuing athletes or upon registration for new or returning athletes. The annual registration fee is currently $150.00 per family for the 2022-2023 season. The annual registration fee is non-refundable.
MEET FEES:
Meet fees will be charged to the card on file with the Gold Medal Swim School after each meet attended. A detailed breakdown of charges will be sent to the email address on file at the Gold Medal Swim School in efforts to give as much notice as possible prior to billing. Please allow us extra time to process out-of-state meet charges as they can take longer to finalize in comparison to in-state meet charges.
USA Swimming sanctioned meets will charge an individual event fee plus a LSC surcharge per swimmer. Individual event fees range from $3.00 to $7.50 per event depending on the type of meet (non-time standard, A-B-C meet, or championship meets). The current AZ Swimming LSC fee is $8.00 per swimmer. All relay fees are paid by the swimmers participating in the relays.
Coaches' expenses related to travel, food, and any accommodations will be paid for at each meet GMSC attends. Each swimmer attending the meet will be billed a pro-rated amount of the total overall coaching expenses. Coaches are reimbursed for mileage, daily per diem, and accommodations. Mileage is calculated from distance driven from Gold Medal Swim School to the swim meet at $0.56 per mile. Meals are calculated as follows: $45.00 for each day; $11.00 for breakfast, $12.00 for lunch, and $22.00 for dinner.
CANCELLATION:
A mandatory
thirty-day notice
and a meeting with the swimmer’s coach is required to withdraw from the Gold Medal Swim Club. Extended breaks in enrollment must be approved in advance by GMSC coaching staff. Cancellation must be submitted through the
CANCELLATION REQUEST
form via the Gold Medal Swim School. Enrollment with GMSC cannot be ceased without the completion of the Cancellation Request form.
