I love teaching because it is a great opportunity to instill a love for swimming in a child.

I love tomatoes with fresh basil. Coffee with almond milk is my favorite.

Some little-known facts about me are I have a degree in criminology and I’m a grandma!

I started July 2021.

Why do you love teaching?

I love teaching because of the excitement and boldness students have when learning  something new! When I was a kid I knew I wanted to grow up to be a teacher and I did just that by teaching 8 years in the classroom. Teaching in the water now brings me so much joy, and it is absolutely wonderful getting to work with all ages of swimmers and teaching life skills while having FUN!

Food: Popcorn and Mexican Food (not together!) Drinks: La Croix

What is a little-known fact about you?
In 2016, I was awarded the Most Valuable Teacher by the Arizona Diamondbacks!

Why do you love teaching?
I love watching a kiddo master a skill, any skill! Whether it has taken them a long time to master it or a short time, it is such an exciting accomplishment.

What is your favorite food/drink?
My favorite food is pizza and my favorite drink is ice coffee!

What is a little-known fact about you?
I am a NICU respiratory therapist and help take care of the tiniest of babies! Some of the babies are less than a pound!

How long have you been teaching at Gold Medal Swim School?
I have been at Gold Medal since 2004.

Why do you love teaching?
It’s so many things… the underwater smiles, the first independent dive, the first ribbon at a swim meet, the connection with families throughout the years, leaving work knowing you helped someone accomplish something great which can also save their life. I could go on and on! Being in the water with kids is my happy place, it never gets old!

What is your favorite food/drink?
My favorite food is sushi and my favorite beverages are coffee and Pellegrino water!

What is a little-known fact about you?
A little-known fact about me is that in my spare time I am a mommy to three awesome kids (16, 13, & 10)!

I started in 2021.

Why do you love teaching?
I love teaching because when there is a kiddo who isn’t very fond of the water and they go in and do the entire lesson or have a big smile on there face it makes it all worth it to see them happy.

I love any food! My favorite drink is sweet tea.

I love learning about history and I love talking to people.

It is very rewarding to see your students succeed and grow!

I love Italian food such as pasta and salad. My favorite drink is pink lemonade.

I play multiple instruments and have been playing piano for 12 years.

Why do you love teaching?
I love knowing that I can teach kids important information that could save their lives. It makes me feel a lot happier about what I do and the effects I have on the kids.

I am musically talented with three instruments.

I love teaching children a life-saving skill and helping children overcome their fear of the water. And I just love teaching kids!

I have a beautiful daughter named Kinley Belle and I love to run!

Why do you love teaching?
I love teaching because I love building strong relationships with students and kids. I enjoy watching them grow up and improve.

My favorite drink would have to be water, I have always grown up mainly just drinking that. My favorite food would be mac and cheese.

I love teaching because I am able to make an impact on someone’s life in a positive and meaningful way.

My favorite food would have to be either burgers, mac n cheese, or any type of pasta.

I have played tennis my whole life, and I am a big Cleveland sports fan

I climbed a volcano (Mt. Lassen) and my uncle threw me off the side onto the glacier and I rode to the bottom on my butt!

I love to see kids enjoy a sport I am very passionate about. I wish to expand swimming to more kids and hope I can make it enjoyable.

Why do you love teaching?
I enjoy working with kids and swimming! It is extremely rewarding teaching swimmers of all ages such an important life saving skill and helping them find a love for the water.

My favorite food is a tie between pizza and and chicken pot pie and my favorite drink is ginger tea!

I have a daughter on the Swim Team here at Gold Medal, I played Softball in college, and I love to craft!

Why do you love teaching?
I love watching kids faces light up when they achieve a new skill. As a former swimmer, it's always exciting to see kids have a joy for swimming as well/

I love that I can influence and help shape someone's relationship with water! Being comfortable and able to swim is a crucial life skill, and I love that I can help children be set up to win in this area.

I love teaching and being given the opportunity to help a child grow and develop in their swimming abilities as well as grow as a person. Its so exciting seeing children learn to love the sport that I have loved my whole life!
