Our FREE Turn Clinics are great opportunities to gain experience and improve swimming flipturns! Swimmers learn how to complete a Freestyle and Backstroke flipturn off each wall. No fees are required for Turn Clinics; however, pre-registration is required for proper staffing.
Turn Clinics are offered for all enrolled Swim Team swimmers. Swimmers enrolled in any of our year-round Swim Team programs are encouraged to attend Turn Clinics. Turn Clinics usually consist of 40 minutes of turn practice and 15 minutes of swim racing. Turn Clinics are not held at Gold Medal Swim School. You will be notified via email of the date and location of upcoming Turn Clinics.
Parents/guardians are encouraged to stay, watch, and cheer for their swimmer in the grass or spectator areas during Start Clinics. Gold Medal Swim School coaches are happy to answer parent/guardian questions before or after Turn Clinics but reserve the Turn Clinic itself for coaches' instruction.
What to Bring: Swimsuit, goggles, cap (optional), multiple towels, parka or robe, sunscreen, and water. Even when the weather is warm, swimmers can still get a little chilly while waiting in line so multiple towels and a parka or robe can help!
