How to Succeed

A swim instructor wearing a "Gold Medal Swim School" shirt teaches a young swimmer with goggles and swim cap in an indoor pool. The background features colorful tiled walls.

Get Comfortable with Being Uncomfortable

Giving yourself the gift of consistent, year-round swimming improves your ability to be water-safe and allows you to develop a life-long love of the water.

We believe that consistent, weekly class attendance is one of the best ways you can contribute to your aquatic success. Breaks in weekly lessons can mean time spent catching up, rather than moving forward. Students who remain enrolled in perpetual swim classes progress in a more linear fashion.

A person with goggles and a swimsuit is swimming in an indoor pool. The pool features a tiled wall with a colorful mosaic pattern. The swimmer appears to be enjoying the activity.

It is also important to exercise patience, as sometimes our current abilities do not match up with our time frame and expectations. Always celebrate your accomplishments after each lesson.
